For me, internal medicine is a nice blend of all the specialties, and it’s intellectually challenging. I was drawn to the combination of the scientific method and the ability to help people.

Prior to joining Cary Medical Group in 2003, I worked three years with the U.S. Public Health Service, Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Chinle, AZ and six years with the Department of Internal Medicine, Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, WA.

I cherish my weekends because they enable me to spend time with my family and participate in the activities I enjoy: traveling, exercising, reading and baking. I also enjoy watching performances of the Carolina Ballet and visiting the North Carolina Museum of Art.

I was born in Montreal and grew up in Pittsburgh and southern Arizona. Some may find it interesting that my ethic background is German and Jamaican and that I am a member of the Baha’i Faith.
