My most rewarding experiences as a physician are when patients simply tell me how much they appreciate my help and that their health has improved based upon my advice. I am also inspired daily by the dedication of physicians like the ones we have in our practice. I grew up in Raleigh and graduated from Broughton High School. I attended UNC Chapel Hill and then Wake Forest University Medical School. After completing residency training at the University of Maryland, I worked with Johns Hopkins Bayview Physicians as a hospitalist, an outpatient clinician, and an instructor before joining Cary Medical Group in 1997.
I love spending time with my family (and our two tuxedo cats). I am also a volunteer coach for my son’s basketball team, and I’m a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cary. I also enjoy watching UNC sports, waterskiing, basketball, and boating. My favorite local museums are the NC Museum of Natural Science and the NC Museum of Art. Some may be surprised to learn that I rode my bicycle across the country when I was 19 years old!
